Quantum Steps

Upon the core the clouds fixate
in quantum state, position indefinite
The world by four forces abide
who in nature and magnitude divide.

Galvanised by chance and nature’s virtuosity
elements have erred yet endured to find
a confederation of compounds of great serendipity
existing to propagate for posterity its kind.

The scythe of time culls the weak and flawed
spawning nimble limbs, gnashing jaws
and prodigious organs of mysterious start
possible in whole but not by part.

They form sentience, validating existence.
Giving the world’s human-ascribed meaning essence.
